On the morning of August 8, 2021 Marileen Lucille Ream Cannon was called home by our Heavenly Father. Born on December 18, 1935 in Kidder, MO, she also called Rochester, MI, Archbold, OH, Searcy, AR and finally Pinson, AL all home. On October 1, 1955 she married her high school sweetheart Robert (Jerry) Cannon Sr, who survives. She is also survived by one sister Maxine Hartsig, sister-in-law Sally Simpson and six children Dawn (Roger) Gray, Janice (Rodney) Carpenter, Sandra (Bill) Leach, Robert Cannon Jr., William Cannon, and Marijean (Jason) Ballard. She is also survived by numerous, loving grand and step grandchildren, great-grand children, nieces, nephews and close family friend Jodi (Brian) Wallace. She was preceded in death by her parents Parry and Mary Haney Ream, one brother John Ream and an infant daughter Elizabeth Cannon.
For many years Marileen owned and operated her own beauty salon and until recently was the family barber. Over the years her love of crocheting produced 100's of heirloom afghans and baby sweater sets for family and friends alike. She was an avid bowler and as a mother of 6, she spent untold hours volunteering with girl scouts, boy scouts, 4H, Awana and vacation bible school. She was a member of 1st Baptist Church of Pinson where she held many offices over the years. For over 20 years she held offices in the Gideons International Auxiliary.
