Glenda Kay Fitzwater, 69 of Altamont, MO passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Burial will be at the Mt. Ayr Cemetery near Altamont.
Glenda, known as Kay by her friends and loved ones, was born August, 20 1947, in Chillicothe, Missouri, to Kenneth and Leorie Gaunt. Kay grew up in Breckenridge, MO with her brothers and sister, Roger, Neal, Shirley and Larry. She graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1965. Kay was a member of the Christian Church in Breckenridge, MO.
Kay’s life was devoted to being a loving mother to her three children, Shelly, Daniel and Regeana. She loved baking, cooking and helping her family. She owned several restaurants and also worked for the Veteran’s Home in Cameron, Missouri. Kay enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandchildren, great grandchildren and siblings. Her family will remember her for her loving, generous spirit. Anyone who met her, loved her. Kay took great comfort in spending time with her pets.
Proceeding her in death are her parents; Kenneth and Leorie Gaunt, granddaughter; Kaylie Maebeth Fitzwater, and great grandchildren in heaven.
