An undated newspaper article from the area had the following: A prominent Summit farmer and well known citizen passed from earth's busy scene to the region beyond on Sunday night when death called Jonathan Schroyer at his home near Rosecran, following a short illness due to pneumonia. Deceased was about 60 years old and is survived by his wife and three children, one son and two daughters, and one brother. Funeral services were conducted the following Wednesday morning in the Brethren Church at Eastville by Elders Beaver and Shively, of Union county and assisted by Rev. Charles Schroyer, of Eastville.
