Patricia "Pat" Green, 67, of New Castle, went to be with her Lord and Savior, as well as her daughter, Andrea on Thursday, Oct. 8,2016, following a courageous, fourteen year battle with cancer. She was born May 31,1949 in Middlesboro, KY, a daughter of the late Otis and Evelyn (Ramsey) Buttery.

Pat graduated high school in Beltsville, Maryland. Over the years, she completed continuing education training in secretarial science. A faithful, member of the First Church of the Nazarene for over 44 years, she served in many capacities including Children's Department director, Children's and Teens Sunday School teacher, Children's and Teens Bible Quizzing coach for 30 years, and director of VBS. Pat was also Office Administrator for over 21 years at the church.

Pat served as co-director of Compassionate Friends of Henry County for 8 years. She and her husband, Ron, enjoyed attending auctions as well as their Ebay business. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and shopping with her grandbabies. Baking and cooking, and hosting large gatherings for family and friends was a pure joy to Pat.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Ron Green of New Castle, whom she married July 1,1967; a daughter, Charlene (David) Adams of New Castle and a son, Aaron (Rachael) Green of Lancaster, OH; her grandbabies, Emma Beth, Johnny, Anna Mae, Lukey, Andrea "Andi", Jack and Carson. Also, sisters, Betty Jean Rykard of Ft. Wayne and Barbara Osgood of Monroe, MI; brothers, Dale (Lisa) Buttery of Lakeland, FL and Robert Buttery of Pentwater, MI.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Andrea Green in 1999; her in-laws, John and Mary Green; sisters, Duretha "Dottie" England Spencer and Alice Farmer; brothers, Eddie K. in 1994 and Drexel E. England in 1994.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10,2016 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11,2016 at First Church of the Nazarene in New Castle with Pastors Jonathan Morgan and Danny Goddard officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition.
