Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. in St. John's Catholic Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. A. N. Schuh will officiate and burial will be made in Hillside cemetery.
The body will repose at the Rembs Funeral Home beginning this evening.
The former Rose Heintz was born Nov. 6, 1879, at Neosho, and received her education there. She came to the Hewitt area shortly before her marriage to John Hoffman on Nov. 24, 1902, in St. Michael's Church in Hewitt. They farmed there until 1941 when they retired and moved to Marshfield. He preceded her in death June 16, 1944.
She was a member of the Altar Society and Missionary Society of St. John's Church.
She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Emery (Clara) Jenkins, Marshfield; Mrs. Frank (Tillie) Gauger, Wausau; Mrs. Theodora (Elsie) Huth, Hewitt; Mrs. Steve (Marie) Arts, Rudolph; Mrs. Victor (Hildegard) Arts, Milwaukee; five sons, Joseph Hoffman, Anton Hoffman, Gerhard Hoffman, Robert Hoffman, all of Marshfield; Marshfield; Aloys Hoffman, Stevens Point; 24 grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and two brothers, Ben Heintz, Port Edwards; Edward Heintz, Milwaukee.
Two sisters, a brother and an infant son preceded her in death.
Rosary services will be held Tuesday as follows: Altar and Missionary Society, 3 p.m.; Christian Mother's Society of Hewitt, 7:30 p.m.; general rosary, 8 p.m.
