Wayne went home to be with Jesus on Friday, October 7, 2016. He was born September 8, 1953, in Mena, Arkansas. Wayne moved with his family to Myrtle Creek, Oregon, when he was one year old.

Wayne married Carol Ann Potter on August 3, 1974, at the Myrtle Creek Nazarene Church. They shared many happy years together raising their family. Family meant everything to Wayne. He was the best husband, father, and papa anyone could ever have. His heart swelled with love and pride every time he was with any of his children and grandchildren. He would give anything for them, but above all, his time and love.

Wayne loved the Lord and served Him with all his heart at the First Baptist Church of Myrtle Creek. His life was a testimony of his devotion to his Savior, Jesus Christ. Wayne was known as a loving and caring person to all who knew him. He always went above and beyond in all he did, and was no stranger to hard work. Remarkably, he always did everything with a smile. Perhaps the best word to describe Wayne would be devoted.

Wayne is survived by his wife Carol Bailey of Myrtle Creek; son, Paul Bailey and his wife Laura and their children Grace, Jake and Joy of Roseburg; daughter, Tonya Madaus and her husband Andrew and their daughter Hope of Glide; brother, Ed Bailey; and sister, Betty Tate. There are many other beloved family members and friends that will miss him greatly.

Wayne was preceded in death by his son, Derek Wayne Bailey; father, George Bailey; mother, Pauline Keogh; sister, Ann Kinnie; brothers, Robert Looney and Dean Looney; sister, Mary Bailey; and brother, George Robert Bailey.

A memorial service for Wayne will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 1040 NE Lillian Street, off of North Myrtle, in Myrtle Creek, Oregon. Services will be facilitated by Deacon Forrest Moore.
