Mabel P. Mowery, 82, Shippensburg, PA died at 10:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 12 in Green Ridge Village, Newville. Born Sept. 7, 1924 in Lurgan Township, Franklin County, she was a daughter of the late David and Wilda Myers Bowers.
She was retired from the Grief Company, Shippensburg. Mabel was a member of Air Hill Brethren in Christ Church, the Shippensburg Golden Age Club, and the Ladies Auxilliary of Durff-Kuhn VFW Post # 6168 and Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post #223.
She was the Widow of Lloyd J. Mooney, who died Nov. 23, 1992.
She is survived by three sons, John D. and wife Vickie Mowery, Chambersburg, Curtis J. and wife Anita Mowery, Noakesville, Va. and William B. and wife Cheryl Mowery, Shippensburg; one sister, Grace Hamilton, Chambersburg; four grandchildren; and one great grandson. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Benjamin Mowery, three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 18 at 11 a.m. in the Air Hill Brethren in Christ Church. The Rev. R. LeRoy Eberly will officiate. Burial will be in Otterbein Cemetery.
