A.G. Addington, Salesman Dies
Arthur G. Addington, 49, World War veteran and widely known for many years as
automobile salesman and executive in the local motor car industry, died at 10:30
a.m. today . . . Sherman. He had been ill for three months.
At the time of his death Mr. Addington was sales manager for (unreadable) and
Wolf Motors.
He was born at Paris Hill, a son of Henry and Minnie Addington. He was educated
in the Utica schools and had been selling in the automobile business here for
the past 20 years. He formerly was sales manager for C.H. Maynard Inc. and
Gigilotti Motors.
He served in France during the World War with the second division Field
Artillery, as a non commissioned officer. He was a member of the Utica
(unreadable) American Legion and Bladwinsville Post Veterans of Foreign Wars. He
attended the Grace Episcopal Church. On October 27, 1917 he married Helen
Johnson of Bladwinsville who survives.
Besides his widow he leaves four children, Jean, Shirely Ann, Jerry and Daryl
Addington; a brother, Howard all of Utica; a half brother Henry Addington,
Chadwicks, and two sisters, Mrs. W. R. Curtis and Mrs. Leon Parker, both of
Atlantic City.

Addington of Ulica, New York and Daryl C. Addington of Scotia, New York. Sister
of Mrs. Agnes Nesdell of Fairport, New York. Survived by 9 grandchildren, two
great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral Saturday morning at
8:15 o'clock from Daly Funeral Home and 8:45 o'clock at Saint Joseph's Church,
Scotia, where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be celebrated.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend. . . Interment Utica.

By the way Helen's birth date is January 11, 1893.
