Ruthann Schorling Moorehead, 79, formerly of Englewood and Venice, died April 27, 2004, at The Colonnades Health Care Center in Charlottesville, Va.
She was born Dec. 24, 1924, in Cleveland and lived in this area from 1986 to 2002. She graduated in 1946 from the University of Michigan where she was a member of Mortarboard and the president of the Women's Judiciary and Delta Gamma Sorority.
Survivors include her husband, John S. "Jack"; children Bill of Pennington, N.J., Sue Rowland of Richmond, Va., John of Charlottesville, and Ann Schwartz of Davis, Calif.; a sister, Dorothy Uhle of Cincinnati; and seven grandchildren.
Services and burial will be in Charlottesville where Teague Funeral Home is in charge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The United Way of Charlotte County, 23081 Harbor View Road, Port Charlotte, FL 33980; or to United Way of South Sarasota County, 7810 S. Tamiami Trail, #A-4, Venice, FL 34293.
