Mrs. Minnie Green
Mrs. Minnie Belle Green of 1919 Bells Highway and Winter Haven, Fla., died Tuesday afternoon at 5:30 in the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital following a long illness. She was 68. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Voigtmann, pastor of Concordia Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Ridgecrest Cemetery. Mrs. Green was born and reared in New Site, Miss., daughter of the late L. J. and Nettie Denson Moore. She had spent most of her life in Jackson. Mrs. Green was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church. Surviving are two sons, Randall Green and Wilfred L. "Bodie" Green of Jackson; three daughters, Mrs. Harold Stephenson of Jackson, Mrs. Robert F. Kanavel of Winter Haven, Fla. and Mrs. James T. Gill of Newport, R. I.; four brothers, Levi Moore of Gastonia,"N. C, George Moore and Lin Moore of New Site, Miss., and Raymond Moore of Memphis; two sisters, Mrs. Esther Isbell and Mrs. Lexie Kennedy of New Site, Miss., 16 grandchildren and a great-grand child.
