Verna Blackwood, of Addison, formerly of McCool, MS, passed away at her home on October 10, 2016.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where services will be on Thursday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Nesmith Church Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Obie and Ina Bell Black Pegram; grandson, John Paul Maddox; brother, William Monroe "Billy" Pegram; sisters, Betty Mae Brown, Peggy Jean Pegram and Bonnie Maxine Wilkinson.
