He was a 32nd Degree Mason, Scottish Rite. Served in the U.S. Navy WWII as a Gunnersmate. Owner of Mathews Sewing Repair. Survived by three brothers, Clifford, Ronnie and Gerald; children, David E. Mathews (Roselen), Linda [Mathews] Steen. Grandchildren, David II ND, Kenneth, Heidi, Danny and Mark. Great-grandchildren, Vanessa, Malia, David and Avery. Also by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Memorial service 10:00 a.m., 05 May 2006, Wynne Chapel, 374 E. Richland Way, Cochise, AZ 85606.
