The funeral of John Ira Boozer, of LeGore, who was roasted to death when he slept on top of one of the lime kilns of S.W. Barrick & Son, of Woodsboro, was held yesterday afternoon at 1:30. He was aged 40 years, 1 month and 18 days. Besides his wife, Boozer is survived by one son about three years old. Rev. Harry Gonso officiated, assisted by Rev. G.F. Nichols. The pallbearers were: J.E. Davis, James Eyler, Charles Ashbaugh, Moses Winebrener, Robert Ecker and George Van Fossen. Powell & Co., of Woodsboro, were the funeral directors. Interment was made in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
