He graduated from Chadron, Neb., State College in 1965 with a social sciences degree. He was vice-president of manufacturing for Auburn Consolidated Industries, and worked six years at Kumatsu Dresser in Libertyville, Ill., and 20 years at International Harvester Rock Island and Ord, Neb. He also had recently obtained his real estate license.
He moved to Loveland Aug. 26, 2000, from Auburn, Neb. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree and the Elks Club.
Survivors include his wife, one son, two daughters,three grandsons; brothers, William, Tom and Glen Young Jr.; and a sister, Mary.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother and sister, Sharon Fisher.
