He was an Eagle Scout at the age of 14 in Boy Scout Troop 411, then Explorer Post 411X. He later got his private pilots license and flew search and rescue missions for the Boy Scouts.
David married Eva "Janelle" PARKER on May 16, 1981 in South Gate, Los Angeles Co., California. They had three children together.
David died at the age of 54 from natural causes caused by diabetes. He was survived by his father, Dale HENDERSON, his sister Jean, his three children: Stacy, Dustin, and Darren, a baby grandson, Wyatt TAYLOR, and several cousins. Since David's passing he has had a new baby granddaughter, Stella Grace TAYLOR.
