"Kind Father of love, thou art gone to thy rest" is the inscription on his tombstone, in the De Hart Cementary, located in Bryson City, Swain County, NC.

Son of John Harvey De Hart and Jane Roberts De Hart of Swain County, NC, buried at Jackson Line, in the De Hart Cemetery; and grandson of Nathan and Catherine De Hart of Licklog farm, buried on his farm in what is known as the Breedlove Cemetery.

My 2nd great grandfather, a farmer, a pioneer.

Andrew and his wife, Lorinda Parrish had 10 children, Alethea Jane "Lethis", Jane L., Ruth Cathorine, John Thomas, Len U, George Robert, William Meakin, Mary Ellen, and Mary Ann.

Andrew was the historian of the De Hart family during his life time and there is printed evidence of his research known as "A Preliminary Study of the Origin and History of the DeHart Family." By: Andrew Jackson DeHart.
