William Earl Dodge. 48, wealthy New Yorker, died suddenly Tuesday under tragic circumstances In a fashionable hotel near the Champs-Elysees here, It was learned last night. Death was due to a congestion brought on as the result of a minor liver complaint, It is understood, but his illness had not been considered serious, since only a few hours before he was stricken he had been in sufficiently good health to attend a Sunday night dinner party In another well known hotel In the central part of Paris. Returning to his apartments with his wife after the party late at night, Mr. Dodge was taken ill and physicians who were summoned succeeded In keeping the heart action going nearly thirty hours, but the end came Tuesday at 10:30 A. M., the American never regaining consciousness.
