Ann Ruth Bradbury left this earth to claim her reward on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, surrounded by her family at her home in Loraine.

Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the 22nd and Austin Street Church of Christ in Colorado City with graveside to follow at Colorado City cemetery.

She was born Aug. 8, 1934 to James Leonard and Myrthle Josephine Gustafson Adams in Clifton, Texas.

She was raised in Cranfils Gap, a Norwegian-American community in central Texas, where she was the first person in her family to earn a high school diploma.

She met and married Korean War veteran James Oscar Bradbury in 1954. Their marriage was blessed with 49 years of laughter and seven children.

They were longtime residents of Colorado City, known in the community as hard workers and good neighbors, taking every opportunity to help others.

When her kids were almost all out of the house, Ann worked in Colorado City as a cashier at Dairy Queen and later a Clerk at Eddie's Pharmacy until she retired.

Ann's legacy is one of unconditional love shown to her family, and a humble and obedient love for God.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, her parents, two sisters and spouses, Katherine and Cecil Warren and Geraldine and Joedale Johnson, her brother, Charles Adams, and her son in law, Dean Musser.

She is survived by her sister in law Nadine Adams; her children and their spouses, Virginia Stagner of Fort Worth, Jim and Cheryl Bradbury of Henderson, Delores and Wes Ballard of Lubbock, Douglas and Jill Bradbury of San Angelo, Charlotte Musser of Arlington, Cheryl and Dwayne Smith of Loraine, Robert and Tara Bradbury of San Antonio; her grandchildren and their spouses, Windy Dano, Justin and Laura Bradbury, Kevin and Ashley Bradbury, Sandra Gibson, Jeff and Esmey Ballard, Amanda and Joe Pangelinan, Ronnie and Lacy Stagner, Laura Ferguson, Chris and Mary Musser, Natalie Bradbury, Aaron Bradbury, Nathan and Kara Smith, Sarah and Scott Dykowski, Alicia and Kelly Harmon and Gavin Box; 16 great-grandchildren and many other friends, neighbors and relatives who love her dearly.
