John Vucanovich Dies in Tonopah
TONOPAH, Sept. 9 - A veteran of the Serbian Society and Eagles Lodge of Tonopah, John Vucanovich, died at the Mines hospital last night of pneumonia.
He was a native of Jugoslavia, but had been in the United States since he was a young man. He enlisted in the Serbian army in 1914 and when the armistice was signed returned to this country and engaged in business at Tonopah and Manhattan.
He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Mrs. E. Roberts of Round Mountain, and Mrs. Earl Heath of Tonopah, three sons, John Susich, Robert Susich and George Vucanovich of Round Mountain, a brother L. L. Boskovich of Winnemucca.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday under the direction of the Serbian society.
