The daughter and eighth child of John and Abigail Halliburton. She married Elijah Salisbury on Feb. 3, 1908 at the age of 17 in Sullivan County. They lived on a 200 acre farm near her own childhood homestead in Pollock and together they had 4 children, Matthew, Winfeld, Nell and Laura. She lived 24 years and died tragically after falling from a second-story porch balcony. She was beautiful, educated and loved by a large family and small community. Besides her husband, children and parents, she left eight siblings in grief.
