Stella Magoon
ENFIELD CENTER – Stella (Williams) Magoon, 75, died Wednesday at her home after a long illness.
She was born in Plainfield, on Aug. 9, 1909, daughter of Walter and Louella (Gallup)* Williams. She attended Plainfield schools and was a longtime resident of Enfield Center.
Mrs. Magoon retired from Dartmouth Woolen Mill in Claremont and had worked for various woolen mills in the Upper Valley area. She was a member of the West Lebanon Baptist Church.
She leaves her husband, John Magoon of Enfield Center; a son, Kenneth Lockwood of Enfield Center; several grandchildren; several great-gran[d]children; also several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the West Lebanon Baptist Church. The Rev. Dean Eggert will officiate. Burial will follow in the Plainfield Cemetery.
*Louella's name was Luella J. (Picknell) Williams; presumably confused with Walter's mom, who was Stella (Gallup) Williams.
