Ronald Allen Small, age 81, of Burlington, passed away October 14, 2016.
He was born August 6, 1935 to Wesley and Catherine (Blevins) Small, in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. In May of 1935, the family moved to Burlington, Washington, and he attended school, including Burlington-Edison High School. He married Irma Hendrix and they had five children.
Ron worked 45 years for Carnation Milk Company, beginning in 1955. He served as the Union Steward for many of those years, and transferred to Gustine, California in 1975, retiring in 2000.
Ron enjoyed riding motorcycles, eventually switching to bicycles when he was older. He would help the neighboring kids with bicycle repairs and often join in his kid's backyard sporting events, usually teaming up with the underdog.
He is survived by his sons: Ron (Peggy) Small, Ed Small and Curt (Glenda) Small; siblings: Duane Small, Patsy Fritch and Robert Small; grandchildren: Tara, Ashley, Cody, Dylan, Rylee, Ty, Tannar and Kelly; and great-grandchildren: Baylee and Syler.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Catherine Small; brother, Walt Small; sister, Marilyn Barrington; son, Bradley; and daughter, Barbara.
