George Monroe, son of Daniel and Salome Grubb, was born August 19, 1867. He married Flora Ann Mosteller Feb. 10, 1889. They had four children: one girl, Annie, died in fancy; one son, Jess, died March 20, 1930. He died at his son, Albert Grubb's, August 12, 1944. Beside the son, he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Edd Wolfe of Geff, and four brothers, Charles and Lee of Altamont, James of Geff and Willie of Fairfield, and one sister, Mrs. Everett Guthrie of Altamont. Bestow cemetery.
