Barbara Bruner, 93, was born on June 4, 1923. She was the fifth of eleven children to Ben and Dorothy Feist. She passed away on October 14, 2016, in Yakima, Washington.

She was raised on a farm and graduated in 1942 in Karlsruke, North Dakota. After graduating, she worked for an implement company and bank in Drake, North Dakota, before marrying Andrew Bruner in 1946. He was employed by the US Bureau of Reclamation, which took them to Klamath Falls, Oregon, and then to Wapato, Washington in 1956.

Barbara loved her card playing groups, sewing, taking fishing trips with friends, and volunteering for her church and singing in the choir. Her favorite thing was fixing her German dishes and having friends over for a German meal. They traveled to Germany, London, a few European Countries, and Mexico together. She took an Alaskan cruise with sisters and friends later in life.

She is survived by her son, Ron (Pam); 2 grandsons, Dan (Brenda) and Brian (Lisa); 3 great grandchildren, Kaiti, Haley, and Brandon; 3 sisters, Ann Schaan of Minot, Kay Fahy, and Caroline Goebel of Boise; and 1 brother, Ben Feist of Minot. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Christine, Dorothy, Magdelan; and brothers, Tony, Frank and Paul.

Our special thanks to her wonderful caregivers, hospice and caring staff at Peach Tree.

Visitation will be held at Langevin El Paraiso Funeral Home on Friday, October 21, 2016 from 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Langevin El Paraiso Funeral Home with burial to conclude at Calvary Cemetery.
