MARTI ROACH was born 13 September 1947 in Odessa, Texas. She departed this life on 10 December 2012 at Southfork Therapy And Living Center in Salem, Arkansas, at the age of 65 years, 2 months, and 27 days. She died from breast cancer.

In 1981, Marti suffered severe brain injury in a vehicular accident that left her disabled. She spent the remaining 31 years of her life in nursing home care. Those who love her are grateful she is now, once again, the beautiful free spirit she once was.

Marti graduated from Permian High School in Odessa, Texas in 1966. She attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. Marti was an international flight attendant for Continental Airlines, based in Agana, Guam. She was a gifted violinist, and an artist. Marti's high school boyfriend was the now famous singer/songwriter Larry Gatlin, who visited her in later years, and took her out of the nursing home where she resided in order to attend one of his concerts in Branson, Missouri.

Marti was preceded in death by her older brother William "Billy" Roach of Montana, former husband Chuck Crowley, and her parents, Arthur and Mary Roach.

Funeral services were held 13 December 2012 at Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem, Arkansas, with Van Brown officiating. She is interred in Salem Cemetery.
