Centenarian Dies Sunday at Lincoln
Mrs. Laura Jane Swartz, who was 100 years old, died at a nursing home at Lincoln, Nebr., Sunday, August 28, 1960, following an illness of several months. She was the mother of Roy Swartz of Hiawatha and a sister of Mrs. Susan Weir of Hiawatha. Mrs. Swartz was a native of Missouri and she was born September 16, 1859.
Other survivors include two more sons, Henry L. Swartz of Morrill and Lloyd E. Swartz of Lincoln. Funeral services will be held at Meek's chapel at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, August 30, by the Rev. Don Albright of First Christian church. Interment will be at Hamlin cemetery.
