Gerry was born in Manitowoc on January 8, 1931, attended Lincoln High School and graduated class of 1949. She then married her high school sweetheart Kenneth Norkosky on October 26, 1951. Ken and Gerry lived in Wisconsin, Colorado, Montana, and in 2003 Gerry retired to Florida. Gerry made friends everywhere she lived sharing her many interests, bowling, bingo, cards, gardening, cooking, and golfing. While raising her family she also was active in the community and local Catholic Churches helping as room mother and member of the Alter and Rosary Societies, Historical Societies, and was very active in the VFW Auxiliary. After moving to Florida she was an active member of St Joseph Catholic Church. For several years she served as The Sunshine Lady at Bayshore at the Lake.
Gerry is survived by her sister, JoAnne Thompson, a son, Kenneth (Anna) Norkosky and four daughters. Sue Kraemer, Lee Ann (Tim) Brady, Eve (Joe) Rutherford, Terri (Bob) DeMoss. Her eleven grandchildren include John, Scott, Chad, James, Sven, Mia, Milo, Brandy, Keith, Julie, and Robyn. Gerry had fourteen great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Allan, Aspen, Allyson, Andrew, Jenz, Trinity, Andrew, Alex, Jessica, Tess, Colton, Jackson, Keera, Jenna and one great-great granddaughter, Addi Mae. She also enjoyed her step-grandchildren great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and In-laws. She also shares a special friendship with Betty Heaton of Bradenton.
Gerry is preceded in death by her loving husband Ken, grandson Timothy, infant grandson Bruce, sister Gladyce Westphall, brother Joseph Kubichek and brothers-in-law Paul Thompson and Robert Westphal.
