She was born May 23, 1934 in Sheboygan, daughter of the late Lloyd Sr. & Esther (Bebermeirer) Hitsman. On October 22, 1954 she was united in marriage to Walter Goodrich and he preceded her in death on August 23, 1996. Barbara was employed at KW Muth for 18 years. She loved to play bingo, go on casino bus trips, put together puzzles, collect Beanie Babies and spend time with her loved ones.
She is survived by her four children; Billy Goodrich, Bonny Henschel, Betty Goodrich, BJ Goodrich, five grandchildren; Nathan Alten, Renee Alten, Lucinda Balz, Tera Turner, Rachael Kartes, eight great grandchildren; Tyler, DeMarco, Kailey, Javaeh, Madison, Carter, Audrina, and Caiden along with one great great granddaughter; Gracelyn. She is further survived by four siblings; Harriet Spindler, Lucille Schuh, Duane (Betty) Hitsman and Raymond (Nancy) Hitsman, three brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and five sisters, many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Funeral Services for Barbara will be held at 4:00 pm on Wednesday August 31, 2016 at St. Peter UCC (424 Fremont St. Kiel) with Dan Krueger, Lay Minister officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church on Wednesday from 1:00 pm until the time of services at 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Barbara's name. Barbara's family would like to extend a special thank you to St. Nicholas Hospice and their amazing staff.
