She was the daughter of Associate Justice Alonzo P. Carpenter of the Supreme Court of NH and Julia Goodall. She married 1877 to Frank Sherwin Streeter.

She was an organizer of the Concord Ramabai Circle, a trustee of the Margaret Pillsbury General Hospital, a member and teacher of the Unitarian Sunday School, founder and first president of the Concord Woman's Club, and a founder of the New Hampshire Federation of Women's Clubs.

Her passport at age 51 shows her to be 5 ft 4-1/2 inches tall with gray eyes and light brown hair.

She was a member of the DAR #25775, descendant of Jeremiah Hutchins, Amos Bugbee and Rev. David Goodall.

Two children: Julia and Thomas Winthrop.
