Riley James Pace, III, 37, a life long resident of Haskell, TX, passed away Monday, October 24, 2016 at United Regional Hospital, Wichita Falls. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m, Thursday, October 27, 2016, at the First Baptist Church, Haskell, with Rev. Dusty Garrison officiating. Burial will follow the service at Willow Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A visitation is planned from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at the funeral home, 304 N 2nd St., Haskell, TX 79521.
Riley was born May 16, 1979 in Haskell to Connie (Weeaks) Pace and Riley James Pace, Jr. He graduated Haskell High School and worked as a farmer for Pace Farms. He was a member of the First Christian Church. Riley loved hunting, fishing (especially with his children), and riding his Harley-Davidson.
He is survived by his daughter, K’Lee Nicole Pace of Rankin; son, Wyatt Gavin Pace of Corpus Cristi; girlfriend and best friend, Heather Simpson of Rule; mother, Connie Pace of Abilene; father, Riley James Pace, Jr. of Haskell; two sisters, Emily Wheat of Abilene, and Misti Isbell of Haskell; two brothers, Chris Shelton of Rochester, and Randall Pace of McCauley; grandfather, Riley James Pace, Sr. of Haskell; grandmother, Flora Pace of Haskell; and special cousin, Ronnie Weeaks of Haskell.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Elwood Weeaks; maternal grandmother, Faye Weeaks; and sister, Chrystal Motley-Bonds.
