RETIRED HOUSE PAINTER, BEN T. BAILEY IS DEAD
Benjamin Thomas Bailey, 76, veteran retired house painter who resided on the Colfax highway near this city, died at 9:30 p.m. Thanksgiving night, a heart attack proving fatal. He had suffered from heart illness for the past four years.
Deceased was born at American Camp, California, but spent his early life at Modesto, and attended the schools of that city. In 1910 he married to Miss Jessie Johnson at Colusa, California, and since that time followed his trade in the valley cities. About eight years ago the family came to this city to reside.
Mr. Bailey devoted his time to his family and home although many of his spare hours were spent in gardening, fishing and hunting.
Funeral services will be held at the Holmes Funeral Home Sunday afternoon at 2 0’clock, with Rev. Mark Pike of the Methodist church in charge. Interment will be in Greenwood cemetery.
