DAVID S STOCKSLAGER, former resident of Hagerstown, died suddenly last night of a heart attack at his home in Philadelphia, aged 68.
Mr Stockslager was son of Samuel and Della Stockslager, and was born in Funkstown. While living in Hagerstown, he was paymaster for the Maryland Pressed Steel Company.
He left here about 25 years ago, and at the time of his death was chairman of the Board of Directors of the Trade Union in Philadelphia.
Surviving are his wife, Lana (Adams) Stockslager, formerly of Hagerstown; sons, David S, Jr, and Philip E, both of Philadelphia; three grandchildren; and a brother, Robert M Stockslager, Funkstown.
