Two years later, in 1870, Jerry's two sons (Hector & John) each married a sister to Jane (Mary Anne and Eliz Jane Carson).
Jeremiah died in 1893 and left a half of one farm, Lot 14, Concession 2 in Amaranth Township to Jane as long as she didn't remarry. Jane married John Benjamin Neely who was a 53 year old Bachelor in 1894 and he died in 1900. Jane married for a 3rd time to William John Howatt in 1901. William was a widower with children and he died just 2 years later. Jane married her fourth and last husband, William Tindale, who was a widower and had 6 children to raise. He lived on Lot 24, Concession 3 in Mono Township. William was 10 years younger than Jane. They married in 1904 and William died in 1928 and had retired from farming at the time of his death.
Jane had no children of her own but raised many children of widowers she married. In Feb. 1933, 86 year old Jane fractured her thigh and developed hypostatic pneumonia. She died on May 1, 1933 and her deceased sister's husband, Edward McKibbon, took care of laying Jane to rest in Greenwood Cemetery. Rest in Peace Jane.
