Joan E. Adam, 74, of Aurora went home to be with her savior on Tuesday, December 5, 2006, after a lengthy illness. She was born December 1, 1932 in Aurora, IL
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Donald N. Adam; her children, Donald J. (Janet) Adam, Steven (Lisa) Adam, Michael (Lisa) Adam, Mark (Ann) Adam, Paul Adam, Gary (Erin) Adam, Janet (Cliff) Rieninger, Lauren Adam, Nancy Edkins, Julie Ann (Todd) Beery, and Kristen (Jeff) Jachim; her grandchildren, Michelle, Kim (Dave), Donnie, Wendi (Michael), Cindi, Brad, Angie, Matt, Molly, Jason (Amy), Hilary, Andrea, Rachel, Malory, Jared (Christi), Ryan, Emily, Jacquie, Adam, Sam, Sara, Eric, Krista, Nick, Alexandra, Corey, Joshua, Alexandra, Calvin, Dylan, Chelsea, Abby, Mitchell, Charlie, Lili, and Sadie; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; her brother, Charles (Edie) Gauger; and her sister-in-law, Inge Gauger.
She was preceded in death by her son Eric Adam; her parents ,Bernice and Arthur Gauger; her sister, Marge Theis and her brothers, William, George "Bud", Robert, and Raymond Gauger.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 9, 2006 at 10:00am at Calvary Church located on Rt. 59 and Montgomery Rd in Aurora. Pastor Ron Markese will officiate with interment at St. Joseph Cemetery at 2:30pm. Joan will lie in state at Calvary Church on Friday, December 8, 2006 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.
