Wednesday rites are scheduled
for John E. Wright
Services for John Edward Wright, 84, of 851 S. Columbia Street, who died at midnight Saturday in the Clinton County Hospital from complications of a one-week illness, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. Harry Dickerson will officiate. Interment will follow in Bunnell Cemetery.
A retired employee of the city Power and Light Company, he was born Nov. 30, 1873, at Russiaville, a son of LeRoy and Martha (Middleton) Wright. In June of 1910, he married Fern Wright, who proceded him in death in October 1945.
A life long member of Frankfort, he is a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. He retired in 1946.
He is survived by a son Willis E. Wright, of Frankfort, and four daughters, Mrs Freda Mitchell, also of Frankfort, Mrs. Mamie Vaught and Mrs. Mildred Talbert, both of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Thelma Sloan, of Lebanon.
Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Mae Gray, of Andrews, in addition to 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Hartman Funeral Home from noon today to noon Wednesday. The body will then be taken to the First Church of the Nazarene one hour preceding the services where friends may call at the church.
