Jane Margaret Benderman Owen, 93, former employee of Zingarell's Market in Mt. Pleasant and Chicago Sandwich Shop in Columbia and resident of Scribner Avenue, died Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center. A graveside service will be conducted Friday at 10:00 A.M. at Arlington Cemetery with Pastor Angy Trimmer officiating. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Ott Benderman and Lela Walker Benderman. Mrs. Owen was a member of Craft Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include her son, Danny "Goober" Owen of Columbia; daughter-in-law, Pat Owen of Columbia; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Cotton Owen; twin sister, Mary Frances Dunlap; sisters, Virginia Williams, and Betty Burnett; and daughter-in-law, Sheila Thigpen Owen. The family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. Ben Gardner.
