Carol M. Mihaly, 72 of Springfield went home to be with her Heavenly father on March 4, 2014 in the OSU Wexner Medical Center, Columbus. She was born in Springfield, Ohio on July 18, 1941, the daughter of Howard Leroy and M. Bernice (Funderburg) Thomas. Carol was a proud 1959 graduate of Northwestern High School. She was a member of Maiden Lane Church of God. Carol retired from Clark County offices after 42 years of service with 40 years at Clark County Probate Court, retiring as Chief Deputy Clerk. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband of 24 years Ted in 2009; and sister LaDonna Foell. Survivors include her sister Anna Lou Thomas; step sons Jeffrey (Sandra) Mihaly and Paul Mihaly; sisters-in-law Betty Mihaly, Sheila Mihaly, and Carol Johnson; brother-in-law Thomas Mihaly; step granddaughter Pamela Mihaly; and many friends. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 4-7PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. A service to honor Carol will be Saturday at 10:00AM in the Maiden Lane Church of God with Pastor Mark Martin officiating. Burial to follow in New Carlisle Cemetery.
