Ira's parents and older siblings were also recorded in Linn County, Kansas Territory by 1860. The 1865 Mound City Township, Linn County, Kansas state census also records John Q. Adams, Jr., age 8, who was born in Indiana. Their post office in 1865 was listed as Blue Mound.

Ella died in 1912, according to family information. She was a daughter of Isaac & Sarah Ellington, who are also buried here. Although not verified, Ella is most likely buried here.

By 1920, Ira G. was recorded with wife Sarah M., again in Centerville, Linn, Kansas. He had married Sarah M. or "Mina" Hunter in 1913. (marriage index)
