Charles Edwin Banks
March 30, 1933 - October 31, 2016 Charles Edwin Banks, son of the late Charles D. and Thelma Florence Gibson Banks was born March 30, 1933 in Cowan, Kentucky. He entered eternal life Monday, October 31, 2016 at the Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 83 years, 7 months and 1 day of age at the time of his passing.

He married Norma Faye Banks on May 20, 1989. She passed away on September 1, 2013. Charles was a member of the Little Cowan Primitive Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends. He was a loving father, grandfather and a great friend to all that knew him.

He is survived by two step sons; Mark (Alfretta) Adams of Ermine, Kentucky and Stephen (Rhonda) Adams of Ermine, Kentucky. One step daughter; Tammy (Darrell) Holbrook of Ermine, Kentucky. Nine step-grandchildren; Tim, Denny, Greg, Chad, LaShawna, Cheryl, Crystal, Adam and Sheena.

Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by a step son; Tim Adams. One sister, Jeanette Day. Three brothers; Bert Banks, Jack Banks, Kendall Banks. Hop Gibson Cemetery
