He was a former employee of Anaconda Aluminum, an Army veteran, and a member of Longfield First United Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hassell and Lillian Pippin; a sister, Lucille Gish; a brother, Donald Pippin; and loving companion, Myrtle Burgin.
Survivors include his three sisters and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was a loving father figure to two and and their children and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Keenan's Funeral Home, 4724 Dixie Hwy. at Rockford Ln., with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, and after 11 a.m. on Thursday.
