with her loving family around her.
On March 6, 1920, Josephine was born to
Jacob and Frances (Lewandowski) Korniak in
East Chicago, Indiana. She graduated from
Wheatfield High School in 1938 and worked as
a tele-typist for many years, later retiring
from Sears catalog/retail sales. She was a
member of Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church,
their Alter Rosary Sodality and loved to sing in
the choir. Josephine also enjoyed playing the
guitar, painting, sewing, gardening (especially
her flowers) and loved collecting stuff.
Josephine is survived by her children: Paul (Renetta) Pavot, Kathryn (Dave)
Bierma, and William (Pam) Pavot, 7 grandchildren, and 16 greatgrandchildren.
Josephine was preceded in death by her first husband: Paul Pavot, and her
second husband: Steve Tanchala.
