Mrs. Mary Etta Wright of LaPorte, TX died Friday October 21, 2016. She was born March 20, 1930 in Pineland, TX and was 86 years of age. She was supervisor of Harris County Tax accessor collector office and secretary of and active member of the Gessner Tennis Club even into her later years.

There will be a visitation from 6 til 8 pm at Starr Funeral Home and her funeral service will be 11:00 AM Friday in the Centerview Methodist Church with burial in the Centerview Cemetery. Bro. Carl Wright officiating.

She is survived by her sons Wayne Raney and wife Linda of LaPorte, Paul Raney & Karen of Conroe, Tommy Raney & wife Edith of Denton, Billy Raney and wife Sally of Houston, Bobby Raney and wife Temple of LaPorte, daughter Madelon Raney and husband Kenneth Robins of Laporte, brothers Alton Wright of Hemphill and Carl Wright and wife Lora Beth of Cuero, twelve grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
