Portia Stewart Southwick, 84, Bountiful, died December 2, 1987 at home.
Born May 4, 1903, Logan, Utah to Issac P. and Rebecca E. Stewart. Attended Brigham Young College, Logan. Married Albert J. Southwick, July 6, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He died November 9, 1974.
Member Ladies Literary Club. Former member Utah Symphony Guild, Pioneer Memorial Theatre Guild. She devoted countless hours to the many Utah and National musical organizations her husband directed and in which he performed.
Survivors: daughter, Mary Louise Wetzel, son, Al.J. Southwick, Jr., both Bountiful; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. William C. (Rebecca) Winder, Madison, Wisconsin; Mrs. Ezra (Cassie) Zollinger, Logan.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 5, 1987 at the Bountiful Community Church. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.
