Elizabeth R. "Liz" Pietroske, age 73, of Manitowoc, entered into eternal life Friday morning, November 4, 2016 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc surrounded by her family. Elizabeth or "Liz" was born August 22, 1943 in Sleepy Eye, MN, daughter of the late Harold and Sena (Kvale) Klatt. Liz and Robert Pietroske married on May 7, 1996 she married Robert Pietroske at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Brillion. Liz's combined love of children, music and learning influenced her decision to become a 4th and 5th grade school teacher in the Minneapolis area after graduating from Dr. Martin Luther College with a Bachelorof Science degree. Leaving her teaching career and coming to Wisconsin, Liz graduated from Realtors Institute designation and obtained a Residential Marketing Master from the Better Homes and Gardens. In 1974, Liz started her real estate career with Lakeshore Ltd. Liz's personality of "I've never met a stranger" was perfect for her new career and ultimately resulted in a partnership/President/Broker/Owner of Lakeshore Inc Realtors until her retirement in 2014. She was a member of the Manitowoc Board of Realtors for 40 years, Medallion Club for Better Homes and Gardens and served on the Zoning Board of Appeals. As a member of the National Association of Realtors and Wisconsin Realtors Association, she held the position of secretary-treasurer of the board, served on the Legislative, Grievance, and Make America Better and Orientation Committees. In 1992, she received the top sales unit volume award from Better Homes and Gardens from the Wisconsin and Upper Michigan District. Liz excelled as a realtor receiving top sales awards many of her years and creating many new friendships that lasted all of her life. She was also awarded Senior Sales Counselor status from the Gallery of Homes. Liz's dedication to her job and to the community resulted in her being chosen as Realtor of the Year based on her contributions to community life and conduct of business reflecting the code of ethics of the National Association of Realtors.Liz continued working with children and music throughout her life. She loved working with the Children's Center of Arts for six years especially A Christmas Carol and directing the Masquers Inc for 5 years.As a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Two Rivers, Liz's love of scripture and music soared to new heights. She could quote scripture for any subject brought up or anytime she felt someone needed to be uplifted by the word of God. Her dedication to her faith, her husband, family and community resulted in a love that will forever outlast all the lives she has touched.Survivors include her husband Robert Pietroske, Manitowoc; a nephew: John (Sue) McCrea and their children: Andrew and Peter; a niece: Amy (Kelly) Morrell and their children: Lydia and Alyssa; one brother and sister-in-law: Steve and Diane Klatt, Appleton and their children: Michelle Malcore and Christina and Joe; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Anna Mae & Norman Schmidtman, Two Rivers; Kay & Allen Jensen, Two Rivers; Nancy Pietroske, Two Rivers; Anton & Chris Pietroske, Jr., Two Rivers; Frank & Kathy Pietroske, Two Rivers; Joe Pietroske (significant other Sharon Pritzl), Beecher, WI; nieces and nephews: Steve, Scott, Susie, Sherrie, Tina, Cory, David, Lisa, Angela, Anton III, Mark, Sandy, Rick, Jodi, Troy, Christa, Lori and Vicki; great nieces and nephews: Megan, Sawyer, Shannon, Eric, Brett, Challise, Shelbie, Emerson, Aubrey, Cody, Christopher Jr., Brennan, Jonathan, Joshua, Luke, Kent, Adam, Amanda, Katelyn, Kyle, Alyssa, Jake, Austin, Isabella, Logan, Madeline, Addison, Brayson, Bennett, Brody, Stacy, Danny, Dakota, Payton, Andy, Kylie and Walker; and special friends: Dale Kocourek, Debra Kerr, Shirley Carrievue, Dorothy Boutin and Chris Born. Many other relatives and friends also survive. Liz was also preceded in death by a sister and two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law: Marianna and Robert McCrea; Arthur Lee and Violet Pietroske; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Anton and Stella Peitroske, Sr.; a niece: Lisa Marie Pietroske; and a great nephew: Dillon Mueller. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 10, 2016 at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. David Arndt with burial to follow services at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
