Loretta married John Henry O'Neil of Somerville, MA in 1894. John was an attorney with offices in Boston & Somerville. They had 4 children, 3 survived to adulthood.
The family's fortune took a turn for the worse with the untimely death of John O'Neil. The family sold the 'big house' in Somerville and moved to their 'cottage' in Revere.
Loretta lived in the Revere Beach cottage until her death in 1958, at the age of 87. My fondest memories of Nana O'Neil were of her listening to her beloved Red Sox on the radio (and her calling the station to complain about the broadcasters 'jinxing' her team with "Three and two...the big one due")
