He worked at Clark Equipment Company before moving to Fort Worth. In Fort Worth he married Karen Smith on Feb. 14, 1978, and worked for Miller Container plant until his retirement 29 years later.
Henry was an avid Texas Tech fan. He loved Harley-Davidson motorcycles and Elvis Presley music. But most of all he was dedicated to his family as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a brother.
Survivors: Wife; son, Lt. Edward Smith and wife, Capt. Sylvan, U.S. Army in Killeen; daughter, Katrina Perkins and husband, Freddy of Lubbock; grandsons, Brent Louis, Blake Travis and Brad Henry Perkins; a brother, Leroy Smith of Bartlesville, Okla.; sister, Velma Pool of Blossom; and numerous nieces and nephews.
