Edgar Lee Elliott was the son of Thomas Alexander & Mary Elizabeth Hosey Elliott. He married Ann Elizabeth Jacks 5 Oct 1890 in Jefferson County, AL.

Yolanda Man was Coal Superintendent for 17 years.
Edgar Lee Elliott, 85, superintendent of the Yalando Coal and Coke Company of Yolanda, AL for 11 years, died Friday at his home there according to word received in Birmingham.
Funeral services were to be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove Church, near Yolando, with Rev. C.L. manderson officiating. Burial was to be in the church cemetery. Yolando Masonic Lodge No 545, of which he was a member, was to have charge of the services at the grave.
Mr. Elliott is survived by his widow, two daughters, Mrs. O.E. Herring of Yolanda, and Mrs. Robert King of Birmingham, and four brothers, J. F. Steve, Walter and John Elliott. Active pallbearers are T.W. Moore, H.B. Huff, H.C. May. R.B. harrison, B.B. Northcutt and W.S. Norton.
