She was born on February 5, 1931 in Elwood, Indiana.
She retired in 1985 with over 30 years of service at Delco Remy in Anderson where she worked in production. She was a 1946 graduate of Elwood High School. She was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Elwood.
She married Merrill “Jack” Lineberry on April 15, 1950. She was a member of the Elwood V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge #353. She was active in bowling in Elwood since 1965. She enjoyed knitting, playing bingo, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include: 2 Children – Vaughn and wife Sandy Lineberry of Elwood and Lucinda and husband Darrell Jackson of Anderson; Brother – Ronald and wife Barbara Hussong of Elwood; Sister – Shirley J. Owens of Elwood; 2 Grandchildren – Amber and husband Kenny Sallee of Elwood and Shawn and wife Desiree Lineberry of Elwood; 5 Great-Grandchildren – Jacob Sallee, Holly Sallee, Jillian Lineberry, Hunter Sallee and Kendra Sallee, and beloved cat – Charlie.
She was preceded in death by her parents – Readus “Red” and Ruth G. (Hankley) Hussong; Husband who died on April 4, 2003 – Merrill “Jack” Lineberry; Sister – Louise Carpenter.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Paulette Stahlke of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Elwood officiating. Burial will take place in the Elwood City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home. V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary will conduct a short memorial service at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 30, 2010 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary or St. John Lutheran Church through the funeral home.
