ROSE – Pauline A. (Abraham) Nana, 98, of Richland, entered the Kingdom of heaven, August 22, 2016 from her home in Richland with her grandchildren Heidi Wilson (Gregg), Brittany and Jordyn Polke by her side. Born September 8, 1917, daughter of Anthony and Freda (Dyree) Abraham. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Theodore E. Rose (1998), and siblings Josephine, Robert, Abraham, Catherine George (Demetrius), George, Geraldine Safina (Nick), Alex, Emmaline, Maulvine Walukas (Anthony), Rosaline McCloota (James), an infant brother, and son-in-law, William Polke, Sr. Survived by her daughters, Dorothy Polke, with whom she resided, and Bernetta Chicarell (James); and grandchildren, Cynthia Luther, James, Patrick (Theresa) and Theodore Hogue, William J. (Wina), Aaron D. (Susan Hull) and Jason D. Polke (Deana). 12 greatgrandchildren and 5 greatgreat grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Nana was a lifelong member of St. Marys Antiochan Orthodox Church. As a young girl she worked in retail for many years with Penn Traffic and Sears and was the manager of Kaufmans on Park Place in downtown Johnstown. Nana touched everyone who came in contact with her in a very special way. No one left a visit with Nana without going home with her special apple pie. She was loved by so many because of her kindness and compassion for everyone. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Marys Antiochan Orthodox where the Rev. Donald Shadid will hold Trisaginon Prayers at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Funeral Service will take place in the church at 11 a.m. Thursday, Committal BenshoffHill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the St. Marys Special Projects fund. Email condolences may be sent at www.moskal-reidfh.com
