Obit - Mrs. Opal Sullivan Aikman, wife of Olin E. Aikman, died at her home in Goodwine, Ill., Saturday evening, August 27, 1921 of diabetes after a short illness. She has been afflicted for a few years but was able to do her work up till the day before her death. She was a daughter of Sam Sullivan and wife and was born, west of Newport, march 4, 1889, aged 22 years 5 months and 23 days. She was married to Olin E. Aikman, who with her father, 1 sister and 2 brothers survive. The body was brought from Goodwine, by undertaker Chipps to Dana to the home of C.C. Aikman and wife, parents of the surviving husband. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist church in Newport, Rev. A.L. Absher, the Dana pastor, officiating. Burial took place in the Bono Cemetery.
